Yes. While we build the product with real golfers, Caddie Live is completely free to use. No credit card, no trial expiry — just sign up and start scoring.
Caddie Live is a free download on the App Store for iPhone and in open beta on Google Play for Android. It also works in the browser on any phone, tablet or desktop.
The round creator shares a QR code or link. Guests scan it, enter their name and handicap, and start scoring — no account required. They can claim a free account after the round if they want to keep their stats.
Stableford, stroke play (gross and net), match play, skins, better ball, scramble, greensome and more — 18+ formats and counting. If your group plays it, there's a good chance Caddie Live scores it.
Yes — playing in one works exactly the same way. If you are the person running it, the Organise section covers that side: members, events, registration, payments and season standings, on the same account.

CPI (Current Playing Index) is calculated using the same method as the World Handicap System, but it is not an official WHS or federation-issued handicap. It's Caddie Live's own index, based on the rounds you choose to count.
